4g 3g and network in Des Moines

Is there something going on with the Verizon network currently in Des Moines Iowa? I always have a very strong 4g connection and it was working fine up untill around 1:45 p.m. today 6/21/2012 I lost all 3g, 4g, and I'm in a extended network... So whats going on?

Almost forgot I'm using the Motorola droid Razor Maxx I have tried restarting the phone. This model has a sim card so *228 dose not do anything for updating towers.

Droid Bionic in Des Moines. Absolutely no data for the last hour or so.....

I lost it too in Cedar Rapids, IA. Looks like, from reading other posts, that this is more wide spread than just our area. Data, and some voice service, appears to be out over most of the country.

Yes... It looks like a Network issue. Sporatic Voice & Data on my two phones

From my understanding a fiber optics line was cut and they are working to fix it. I am in Des Moines

Must be a heck of a cut. I've had 1 bar for over an hour and phone only sets at 1x. Thanks for posting though, I thought it was just my phone but I feel better knowing it's an actual outage.

Also, my phone seems to be using up more of the battery. Maybe it keeps trying to get a Data Connection so going in and turning that off for now.

Iowa City is out too. I can't even send texts :smileysad:. I thought it was my week old phone and nearly broke the damn thing trying to get my cover off....

I have a feeling once its fixed they are going to act as if nothing happened like they did in 2011. Most likely no apology or partial credit towards your account for the inconvenience. What a wonderful company we are stuck with. (Plus you have to love the new forced combined data plans & soon to be no longer unlimited data for those grandfathered in)
