I think I may just deal myself and family out of this company. Do I have to be reduced to begging the company for a CURRENT line of phones? I thought it was the other way around. Fool me once and I'm responsible, fool me twice.........
Alright, lets assess the 'current' line of phones that you say that you want:
iPhone (AT&T)
HTC EVO (Sprint)
Nexus One (TMO, AT&T, Sprint, and soon enough Verizon)
Now, rationally think about it. JUST a couple of months ago, the Nexus one was only to T-Mobile, and the Droid was still second to best. Back then it was current. In fact, so was the HTC Eris. Look, it's difficult to not only maintain a business moving forward in technology, but to also make deals left and right to other manufacturers for better phones.
More sooner than later will there be a Nexus One on Verizon's network and you'll get to enjoy sexy 1GHz processing speed.
Relax. Technology moves forward at alarming rates every day. Being impatient only highlights how irrational you're being.

Based on the very article you quote, whatever LTE device comes to market is automatically going to be faster than the EVO. If you want to jump ship to get the EVO just to have it outclassed in short order, you can certainly do so. I for one am happy with the Droid currently and only signed a 1 yr contract so I can move to an LTE device as soon as they are available.

Yes, you're right Mike, just calm down and go with the flow. No worries.
In the meantime I'm paying what I feel are premium rates for my cell services and for some reason not getting current technology cell phone-wise.
Impatient and how irrational I'm being.......please give me a break, how condescending. All I want is a selection of competitive cell phones in a current competitive market.
Am I being impatient? No. I know that by the time Verizon releases the N1 it will already be out of date. I figured that out 2 months ago.
All I'm looking for is a competitive cell phone which I can purchase a bit before it's obsolete. Verizon hasn't shown me that as of today.
Then leave......please. I'm getting so tired of listening to people complain. Nobody is forcing you to stay with Verizon.

You DO. The Droid is the second best Android phone to date. And then you'll have the Nexus One soon. The HTC EVO isn't even out yet, so you can't count something that's not even released...The HTC Eris is better than it's competitor, the Hero.
I don't know what you're talking about. Both the Droid and Eris are sweet devices. The Devour is better than it's Cliq cousin -- so what's your point? What are you complaining about?
Oh, that's right. For Impatience and Irrationality's sake. Perhaps I'm not being as condescending as you are being the aforementioned.
Not to get off-topic; but what are these LTE phones/devices that I see mentioned here? And where do I see pictures and specs of them? It sounds like they are way better than anything so far from what some of you are saying.
Amen Jim....Im right there with you. These people think Verizon "owes" them something. Im sick of hearing it too.
