Check out the link . Another HTC rumored phone. Expected to be announced tomorrow at the MWC 2010. Could it be the wait is coming to an end. We will find out tomorrow.
According to the full specs at the end of that article, it looks like its going to be a GSM device not compatible with VZW.
We will find out tomorrow when HTC's holds there press conference at the MWC 2010. The specs are probably for the Bravo variant to be launched in Europe. U.S. would get it as the Desire, after all this news is coming from Spain where the MAC is being held. More than likely they would show European specs.
Sad,
Nothing new from HTC for Verizon or the US market. It looks like it will be closer to the end of the year before we would see any of the cool new phones for Verizon....

I guess the ony hope for a new Android phone will be the Nexus One any time soon....
Yeah, from everything I have been reading the HTC Desire and the Legend will both be released in Europe first and will "eventually" be released to other carriers. Has anyone heard anything more on the HTC Incredible? Hopefully that one will be relased to VZW sometime soon. I kind of feel like we're getting screwed yet again. There's already rumors flying that a Nexus One is going to be released on AT&T soon (FCC filings), but yet nothing has been revealed about the one that will supposedly be on Verizon. This is frustrating.
We keep hearing things and nothing it happening. Many people expected to hear something at MWC about Verizon getting a new HTC android phone with Sense! I feel like Verizon keeps dropping the ball when it comes to getting the newest smart phones that people want. You didn't pick up the N1, didn't get the Desire or the Legend! WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!?! If any one actually cares to see how disappointed we are this is a good place to start!

I agree with the person above, I am so sick of getting my hopes up about Verizon just to be let down. I am hoping something amazing comes out ASAP, because the Devour sure isn't anything to get excited about at all! Why do we always get new phones by the time they are already old news on other networks??? Verizon--Please give us the HTC Desire, Incredible, or Nexus One
You know, I have been looking for a new phone since November. My new every two was up February 7th and I wanted a cool new Android phone. I watched the Droid and the Eris release, but did some research and heard that a new HTC phone was going to be released by the end of 2009. I thought I would wait to see what this new device was supposed to be. So I waited, and waited and waited and waited. First I heard Black Friday, then 1st of the year, then sometime in January, then in February, now March, April or June. And nothing. I called Verizon and was told that they didn't have any information on upcoming devices. Further more I was told that NO new devices were scheduled to be released in the coming month --None at all. At first I thought this was all **bleep**, but you know what? No new phones have been released. So I am STILL waiting, being brushed off by customer service reps and scouring the internet for any shred of information pertaining to a new HTC phone. Other carriers have announced which phone they are going to release and when, and Verizon sits there with it's thumb up their a**es, pushing the freaking Droid and Palm Pre plus on me everytime I contact them. What's worse is that I can not change carriers. I am in the middle of nowhere and only get and excellent Verizon signal. Which is fine, but I am sick and tired of being behind the curve when it comes to new technology. If I was on the phone with a customer service rep they would say, "Droid, Droid, Droid." Everytime I want a new phone from verizon, I have to play this game and I am tired of it. I pay a lot of money to be a Verizon customer for them to totally ignore me as a customer and what I want while all the time lying to me and telling me they have no new phones coming out. I am just sitting here waiting to spend money and give it to them happily and they slam the door on me. I never met a company who didn't want my money. I need to buy a phone, a new plan, and smartphone access. I have always been happy with my Verizon service, but their selection of phone is sub par compared to all the other US carriers. Why do I have the best service with the worst phones. And I am sick of getting the cool phone 5 months after everyone else. So, I can get a Nexus One 5 freaking months after freaking TMobile???? **bleep**? And now there are rumors about the HTC Incredible with it's weak specs and fire engine red front, while the super stylish Bravo is released in Europe. Thanks for nothing, Verizon. I am tired of having to be in a holding pattern as every other carrier's cool cutting edge phones pass me by and I have to wait once again. I hope you corporate schmucks are reading this. Get us the best phones on the best network. Then Everyone will want Verizon!
This thread is right on the money. Verizon, I love your service but dear God do your phones suck. I won't even touch on the big phone at AT&T, but good grief, how does T-Mobile carry better phones than the largest carrier in the US? Man, even lowly Sprint had the Hero first. Either your sales department is just terrible at these phone partnerships or you just don't care. I'm not sure what's worse. All we're asking is that you make a solid effort to be #1 not only in service, but in phones as well. When friends ask, "how's Verizon?", I'd love to be able quit saying "Their network is great, but if you want a decent phone you might want to try a different carrier..."
I am FED UP! I tried the Druid and it had several issues.....I WANT A GREAT PHONE. The HTC Sense is amazing and very sexy but Verizon does not keep up. T-Mobile gets great phones, AT&T gets great phones...verizon brags about there MAP! The map is great but the phones SUCK!!
Please Please PLease give us a NEW HTC with Sense Phone on Android 2.1....the Desire, The incredible, The HD2, The Bravo.....C'mon....dont make the same mistake you made with the Iphone...
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE....I am begging you
Hopefully someone, anyone?, with Verizon is reading these posts. Verizon users really deserve some decent phones. It is so disappointing to have such poor selection of phones compared to other carriers. All the latest articles, posts and blogs about the Nexus One, HTC Desire, etc. has me really wanting a GREAT phone for a change. That's probably why I'm only on my 2nd Verizon phone since 2002, because nothing else has impressed me. Now I am ready for a Nexus One or the HTC Desire, not to mention a phone that isn't stripped of it's manufacturer's capabilities and dumbed down. My daughter visited at Christmas with her iPhone and I realized even more how much we Verizon users need some phone choices with similar capabilities. I've been out of contract for months and am not sure how much longer I'm willing to wait for a smartphone with Verizon.... Also hoping the Android platform takes off with more decent and useful apps, especially Android versions of those already available for iPhone users.
Agreed, also I would like to add some of us were were forced into Verizon via the buyout. Alltel had way better customer service. I guess I could sum it up by saying I was expecting Verizon to be different, but same crappy phones isn't going to cut it. I live in the city so the service can't be that bad in town. Pretty sure the switch is on for me especially since I wasn't with Verizon in the first place for a reason and this only adds to it.
Verizon - I have been a customer for over 8 years. I want one of the new android phone but not Motorola. Sorry I tried the Eris but it is not that fast. If you really want to be the best carrier you need to take changes and provide the best phones. I see all the new phones that every other carrier is announcing but we heard nothing new coming for us. You need to remember that we are the customers and we want / need to be informed. If you can't start keeping your customers inform then I will take my business to someone that can. Step up or lose customers it your choice.
Rumors had the Nexus One coming out on March 23rd. If this BOGO sale ends friday, it will be 30 days before the 23rd. I hope this sale doesn't make it to the weekend. It might be a sign of when the good phones will hit.
I have had 2-3 phones on verizon for years, and still have razr phones because there are no phones that I want from them.
Dont get me wrong there are a ton of worthy phones to be had, just not from verizon.
How can verizon be the best network but with the crappiest phones, while every 3rd rate carrier has the best phones out there.
Now we got ourselves a discussion. Some bean counter has to take note of our outrage .....I bet corporate all has the best phones not released to us yet......or the jitterbug!
Maybe , but not soon http://www.betanews.com/article/HTC-introduces-multitouch-Sense-UI/1266333655
No release date for America

Since I bought the Droid, I WILL be paying the $600 for the N1. The stutter on the Droid is getting more and more irritating. The silence from VZW about updates, when even Sprint is communicating with their customers, is down right wrong. With the N1, Google hands out the updates, by-passing the carrier. Yep, paying full price is worth the freedom.
Well Said.
What you wrote is a excellent summary of how people feel about Verizon. Great map, Great Service...........no phones worthly of the Map & Service.
I will not buy a new phone form Verizon, rather I will buy a reconditioned Blackberry off of Ebay while I wait for N1 or N2
This hear is how long my NE2 has been up. Almost 2 years!

Sadly I have not been able to find a phone I want. Verizon provides the best 3G coverage here in KY where I live, so that is one of the reasons why I have stayed. I feel like you all do about the phones. Everytime I read about a new phone that I would seriously consider buying, it ends up on another network. I almost hopped on the Droid, but then I read about the HTC Passion that ended up being the N1, and of course it went to T-Mobile first, so I decided to give it a little more time when I saw that VZW was going to get the N1 in the Spring.
I am holding out until the end of March to see if the N1 or the HTC Incredible comes out on VZW. If nothing new comes in the form of a phone or news, then I am thinking of just jumping ship. While I rather not hop on over to ATT or T-mobile, just seeing the news that the HTC HD2 is coming in March to T-mobile made me really think that it might be time to move on from VZW.
I can deal with the EDGE network for the time being and just use the WI-FI at work at and home, and there are more and more WI-FI hotspots popping up in town.
I had my hopes up in the fall when I was reading about VZW catching up and really starting to offer some awesome phones that would make users from other carriers jealous, but those hopes have quickly faded.
Oh well. One more month.
Hanging tight with you all for now!
I was all psyched up for the Droid. I was willing to buy back in early February when my NE2 was up. Then I learned that the N1 was coming to Verizon and that started me thinking. I have done a LOT of comparisons including reading the ::GULP:: Apple sites. I am a PC guy through and through. I see the value in Apple but I want to have the flexibility of my PC and my phone. All reviews seem to say that the N1 is a great phone. I think Apple is extremely worried that the N1 will kill their Iphone. I think they should be worried too because as far as I can see the N1 is far superior to the Iphone. I have often considered the possiblity of switching carrier to get an Iphone but I really LOVE Verizon's service and Network and that has kept me here. So, I eagerly await the arrival of the N1 to Verizon and humbly request Verizon that they consider all of us Family Share plans and allow us to get the phone with the subsidy if they offer that option. If not I may have to continue with my Voyageur and not buy a new phone from Verizon for a LONG time.
Nah they aren't worried. The next iPhone will be as good or better. Because they will feel the need to keep up. Which means the big dogs in Android world will get bigger and better and cheaper and it will go back and forth for a while.
Hi new to this forum, Just my thinking that the new HTC Desire that is being release in Europe will come to Verizon as the Incredible. Can't see three phones with similar specs coming out for Verizon ( Nexus One, Incredible, and now the Desire. Too similar in my opinion).
NotAgainVZ wrote:I would love to get a Nexus One BUT all support for the phone comes from Google at this point which seen very sub par. If something is wrong with your phone you do not have a local store, you will be mailing it out waiting for a replacement. I would prefer the HTC version Nexus One ( Desire or Incredible ) with support of my wireless company.
I feel the same way, support is a major part of why I am with Verizon. I have had excellent service with them. I have heard nightmares about how Google has handled service thus far. Also I really don't know if I want to root my phone to get HTC's Sense UI. I much rather wait till a HTC device comes out for Verizon with similar specs as the Desire. Hopefully the Incredible is that phone.
