Deleting email all at once?

After I have deleted an e-mail it goes to the trash bucket, I just looked in the trash bucket to find 50+ deleted e-mails. Is there any way to delete them ALL from the trash other then one delete button at a time? Im looking for a way to high light select all, delete

The easiest way is to do it is to log in to your email account from your PC and delete them there. Next time your phone syncs they should be gone. Not sure which email system you are using. In Gmail, if the Batch operations option is checked in preferences a check box will appear next to each email. If you touch each check box to select it you can use the Delete button that will appear at the bottom of the screen to delete all selected emails.
