Is there anyway to find the number anywhere in my phone or on the billing website? I used to be able to look at the breakdown of my texting history by phone number, apperantly I cannot do that anymore
Even if you delete the text message, a record of the number it came from *should* be available through MyVerizon or online billing. It may not show up for 24-48 hours, but if you know approximately when you received the text, you can track it down. If you are on a family share plan, you will need to log in as the account owner to view details for all the lines. Secondary lines will only see summary information, no details.
Unfortunately, once you delete a msg, everything is gone. With telephone calls you can look at your bill and it will give you a breakdown of all numbers you called, and all the telephone numbers which called you. Unfortunately, that is not true of messages. Your best bet is to text the person who's telephone number you want and ask them to kindly either text you with it or call you. If they call you, you can go into call history and make that number part of your contact list.
While you are correct , I just have to ask, how would you text somebody (who's number you don't have) to ask for their number? Just a thought.
Good point. Mia culpa.
