I lost my phone and I am looking for a replacement. As I do not have a warranty, I cannot buy it direct from verizon. Does anyone know how to buy a certified pre owned.
are you sure you can't buy direct from vzn? i just bought one for my wife. i wanted to use her upgrade for my line, but since she was due the upgrade i got her the phone she wanted through vzn (preowned). so she got a pre-owned allias II (which she was thrilled with, as it may as well be brand new) and i was able to use her upgrade to get what i wanted. if you're a vnz customer, i don't see why they wouldn't let you buy a certified preowned phone from them??? call them again (the 800#) and ask. otherwise......ebay!!!!
Even if you had warranty, warranty would not do anything. Warranty does not cover lost phones. Do you have insurance? If yes you can get a new phone for usually a small fee then paying full price. If no insurance there is always the option of switching back to a old verizon phone that you used once before or ask someone if they have a spare. Like someone said you could buy a phone from craigslist or ebay. I would recommend ebay instead because you there at least you have buyers protection. With craigslist it's pretty much at your own risk.
Btw did you have the GPS tracker app, Where's My Droid app or lookout app installed on your phone?
