Addling a line to an individual line and switching phones

I'm currently on my own individual plan but I want to make the switch to a family plan and add a line. I want to get a new phone and want to use the new phone (from the new  line) with my number. Is that possible and how do we go about doing this? Also, by adding a new line, it wouldn't extend my current contract to a new 2 year contract correct? Thanks for your help.

Hi stevensly! Yes, you can add a new line to your account and use the new phone on your existing line. This can be done through VZW Customer Service (800-922-0204 from a phone OTHER than the phones on your account), have it down at the point of sale (assuming you purchase the new phone at a retail location), or I can help you! You need only send me a Direct Message through the forum with your full name and mobile number. To swap phones between the lines on your account does not effect the Contract End Date of any line.
