Adding a line w/ no Data

Hi,

I am thinking about getting my wife a phone by adding aline for the purpose of talk and text. We don't use data and have no need for it but the 700 minute talk plan that charges per text is unreasonable. Is there a way we could get a shared plan with 700 minutes, unlimited text, mobile to mobile?

you can get unlimited texting for both lines for $30 a month.

@Danitude in the amount of time it took to create an account to post your question you could have looked at the plans, where you will see your only options are the share everything plans WITH DATA, or prepay, or single line plans. Sometimes, it helps to research.

Actually, there is only two options prepaid and share everything. But that is not what I am looking for.

If you go with unlimited texting you still get data just to use, thrown in, it's 30$ per line and 40$ for the entire plan, you should see what the plans used to cost for unlimited.. Very pricey. You can get a 10$ texting package for the phone per line for 1000 messages, however it would be cheaper to throw in 30 more and get unlimited everything pretty much (300 mb is plenty for basic phones, technically unlimited), but if you can manage 1000 texts, that should hold you. But if you have Nationwide Talk 700, you can add 30$ for unlimited texting, the first bit was for the Share Everything Plan.

But there is no more just talk and text plans? Data is part of it regardless? I only need 700 minutes combined and unlimited texting.

Unfortunately, since the end of June with the implementation of the Share Everything plans, you're limited. Your current plan is grandfathered, but I don't believe you'll be able to add a line to it and turn it into a shared Family plan since those plans no longer exist. Looks like you have two choices under the Share Everything plan for basic phones.

You can get 700 minutes per month for $10 monthly account access + $30 per month per phone monthly line access, and can add $10 per month per phone for 1,000 text messages per phone. For two phones, that's

$10 + $30 + $30 + $10 + $10 = $90 (assuming both phones have 1,000 text message package)

Or, you can throw data in and just not use it, i.e., $30 per month per phone monthly line access + $40 per month for unlimited talk, unlimited text, and 300 mb shared data. For two phones, that's

$30 + $30 + $40 = $110

700 talk and text plan is 80$ a month plus 9.99 per line base price, if you have insurance it's even more.
