Verizon and Skpe

Great news about Skpe and Verizon. One question arises though, can a Verizon user use Skpe internationally when calling from overseas to the United States. The Iphone can do this by utilizing wi-fi. From what I read in the announcements, it sounds as though that you will be only be able to Skpe from the the US to international, not vice versa.

To me the question is what is the advantage over Fring and other Skype interfaces already available? Sounds to me like it gives the same capabilities with the disadvantage of not being available over WiFi.
