trouble with my sound

Howdy,

 

I had a nice new droid until a day or two ago. I was riding my bike, and it rained! I was only two blocked from home. When I got to my front door I quickly got my droid out. It had a small amount of water on it. I wiped it clean and turned it off. I let it sit all night. It turned back on and seemed fine--except the volume on high on the earpiece is now about half of what it use to be, I am getting slightly louder sound, but full of static over my headset.. My music is interrupted constantly--it is like it loses recognition that the mic/head[hones is plugged in and pauses the song (when the cable is there). I've tried two separate headsets. 

 

I can't see myself realistically using this phone for more than a week like this... I just don't think I can bare it. Anyway, the little sticker in the battery compartment is white with two red "X." I also have insurance... do you think it just needs to get more moisture out (like maybe put it in a bag of rice over night?) or should I take it into VRZ tomorrow?

if anything you should have let it sit for a couple days than overnight. plus near a heat source would have been fine, all you needed was to dry the water.

 

i would say letting it sit longer is a no go, damage done as noted by the x's. take it in, hopefully the insurance will cover it.
