question about my 30$ data plan for my Motorola Devour.

I was just wondering if when I got the "unlimited" 30$ data plan if I could use my 3G internet as much as I wanted every month and not be charged anything aside from the 30$. I've heard some rumors that I'd have a limit of 5GB per month so I was just making sure.

you have unlimited data on your phone so no worries.  Only when you pay additional to tether with your phone is when you have a 5GB allowance to tether only.
