Milestone + Verizon plan?

I just wanted to know if it will work

can I buy a Milestone in, say, Asia, and buy a phone+data plan from verizon,

and change my ESN online? will it work?

My main concern is that whether the 3G version is compatible between US and non US countries, or between miilestone and droid

I think all the milestones are GSM phones, not CDMA so I would have to answer no on that one.

looks liek all the europeane models are GSM, so they won't work. You would have to buy the US model
