Anybody not able to check their preorder confirmnation number when checking order status

Preordered my iphone 5 this morning, but i am not able to check the order status of it using the preorder confirmation number that i received, i keep getting an error on verizon's site..."Please check the information you have entered. Data may be missing or may have entered an invalid Pre-Order Number or Last Name."

I cannot get mine either... I am now worried the order is not actually in their system. I also get a certificate warning on the confirmation email they sent.

My bank shows they made an authorization for $0, but not the sale amount. My account still shows that I have upgrades available...

Any thoughts on this?

As long as you received the confirmation you should be fine. Most instance when ordering online you are not able to pull order status until it fully processes and that may take 24 hours or so. They are so busy now it will be in there soon enough. No need to worry

I had to use the pre-order # and put my last name in all UPPER case...

Uppercase is what makes it or breaks it. Although, when I was ordering at 3:30 am this morning, it said it would be delivered by the 21st and on my order confirmation page it says the expected ship date is the 21st. Anyone else have this?

I'm in the same situation, confirmation email says delivered by 09/21, but order status page says ship by 09/21. I was done ordering by like 304am EST (the page went up a couple minutes before 3am), so I'm hoping I was one of the first to order and will actually get it on the 21st.

I had the same problem but I ended up using the Preorder confirmation order and typed my last name in all caps to see the confirmation.

I had the same problem with the error but Spoke to CS who assured me that my order 'looked Ok' so it could be that all of us who received a confirmation email are in the queue for shipping.

It took 3 hours before I was able to check the status. Prior to that, I got the same error you did.

It's been close to 48 hours since I ordered. I did however sign up as a new customer when I ordered. Still no email, bank charge and I still get an error checking my status.

When you go to the order status link in the confirmation email, you MUST enter your last name in ALL CAPS in order for it to work.

Finally got a hold of a good CS rep today. Said something went wrong with the credit check on their end, but if I resubmit my order I can get the delivery date reset to the 21st! Was beginning to think Verizon customer service was not worth the good coverage, if this rep does as he says he will I'll be impressed.

Honestly, I don't believe that it is. Maybe the rep knows something I don't. I needed to change the shipping address for my order, and the reps I spoke with both told me that the process would change my ship date, and that they could not put it back to 09/21.

Maybe your rep knows something that mine didn't.

I have that same issue. I completed my order by 310 and my order form says delivered by the 21st but the confirmation screen shows shipped by 9/21. This is not good. I could have held on to my money and gone to the store. I really hope this is not true.

When I pre-Ordered my Droid Razr, the Website said Ship Date x/xx and my order said y/xx. I received it the day the website said it was shipping. I got my Phone the day it was available in-store.... And yes, I tried to change my shipping address on another phone, and it messed up the shipping date to what the new date was (2 weeks later than I would have gotten it, if had just left it alone). Hope this helps ease your worries! I have faith that our phones will be received by us on the 21st.... I just checked my order, and it says received and in process.

I ordered my iphone 5 at 11:58PM when I noticed the online store opened up a little early. The transaction took about 10 min and I had my confirmation email by 12:15AM. However at about 1:10AM, I got a text that I think was from the fraud division stating that I had to reply to the text with a "yes" message to authenticate the order. I replied with yes, but did not get anything further from Verizon. Later that evening I was able to get through to a CSR who confirmed my order and text reply. When I go to the order status page, though, sometimes it doesn't recognize my order until several tries on occasion, but when it does it simply says the order is in process and still indicates a delivery date of 9/21/12 as did the confirmation email. I guess my next step is to see if my credit card was charged, but I'll wait until Monday for that as I don't think Verizon will be up on pre order status questions on their website until Monday. Has anybody checked to see if their cards have been charged already?

My card was charged $1.00 by Verizon. It's not actually a charge, so I'm pretty sure they were just verifying that the card was good.

As far as the order status page, make sure you enter your last name in CAPS.

I have an issue where my order status cannot be checked with the same errors you're getting – HOWEVER, when I constantly try again to check my order status, once in every ten tries, I get my order confirmation to show up correctly. I've seen other forum posts saying if you can see your confirmation through the order status page that you shouldn't be too worried so I haven't called Verizon yet.
