Does anyone know how to contact corporate?
I am so frustrated and so upset and have never been treated so rudely. Verizon used to be great a long time ago. The customer service has gone so downhill and I do not understand how they think they can treat their customers so rudely and lie to them.
I wanted to jump thru the phone. I have to write it down. I cannot get back on the phone with them after my 4 hour nightmare to which I was in tears.
I have been a 10 year loyal customer. I could take my business anywhere. I have 5 phones on my plan. They have gotten so much money out of me in 10 years. At times my bills has been 1000. a month!!
After the way I have been treated I am going to find out how to break my contract and switch to another provider who may treat their loyal customers better.
I called them yesterday as my sons phone had broken. He is due for a upgrade on 12/17. I have never asked for an early upgrade in the whole 10 years of service. I didn't think asking for an early upgrade 6 weeks early would be so much hassle.
I was told no, he has insurance and needs to get that. To get his insurance replacement phone which is a refurbished used phone he has to pay 75. So... why should he pay 75. for a used replacement phone which HAS to be the same model he had when he has a upgrade coming soon and could pay for what he wants?
The phone he has now he has had so many problems with and he doesn't want that one again. Insurance is a choice to use but I was told he has to.
Then the guy puts me to his supervisor A. A says no again but he can add an exception and let him get a early upgrade but he has to get a basic phone. He will not get a choice and cannot get a smartphone. He was actually very rude and he made me feel like I was a nothing. You have got to be kidding? He wants me to sign another 2 year contract and tells me it has to be on a basic phone!
My other 4 lines are all smartphones. This particular line my son's phone is used for work.He needs the email, the apps, the fax etc. He is also a young single dad of 2 babies and working away from home during the week now left with no phone,
I hung up with A and decided to call back and get a different rep.
This new rep's name was p. he was very nice and pleasant. He carried on a great conversation and said he could help. He said my acct needed to be brought up to date. I had a payment scheduled to come out today but patrick cancelled that and had the payment go thru last night. he then said he would note on my account that my son was eligible for his upgrade. I asked p about a best Buy store that was close to where my son's motel was and he said no, he would be better off going to a verizon store and getting his upgrade there.I then got ahold of my son thru the motel office ( his phone is broke so no phone) I told him to go to the verizon store, show id and use password and he could get his upgrade and his line turned on. This was at 5:00 p.m. and he had to be to work at 8. At 6:05 p.m. my son called from the verizon store said it was not noted on the account and he couldnt get a upgrade. he was upset that I told him to go there. I told him to wait there and I would call Verizon back.
Another nightmare went on. A woman rep kept putting me on hold so she could check the notes. She told me my acct was noted that we were offerred a basic phone only and I declined. I explained about p and him cancelling my scheduled payment and taking a new one and the notes he wrote.
After a half hour of getting nowhere I started asking for a supervisor to which i was denied quite a few times. Finally after wasting 45 minutes of getting nowhere she put me thru to her supervisor C said her id was # .
C was the rudest of all. She stated that so many people are waiting for upgrades and why should I be moved up when other people are waiting. She said I didn't deserve it and they will not do that. She said to go on ebay or amazon and buy a phone and use it for a month till he can get a upgrade. The earliest he can would be one month out which would be Nov 17th. This is Nov 2nd! You have got to be kidding me right? She wants him to buy a phone from a 3rd party, wait a week for it to come in and then can offer him a upgrade in another week.
She said she would put in a email to the former rep p and ask him for the reasoning why he could upgrade me and I may or may not get a call back.
At this time I was in tears. I am on the phone with them after an hour and a half, I have gotten absolutely nowhere and my son ( phoneless) is still sitting in the verizon store and he is late to work!
C left me hanging, she was extremely rude and made me feel like crap.
