Upgrade price + free phone question

So I'm due for an upgrade at the end of the month. I was thinking of getting the Moto Droid and I noticed you can get an Eris for free. Am I eligible to get the Droid for $199 and in turn get a Eris for free to give to my wife even though she isn't eligible for an upgrade yet?

No, your wife would need to be eligible. Or, you could add a line to your account.
