Sign in to My Verizon on my phone

This issue is happening with me on my Samsung Illusion.

The update killed my ability to go onto MyVerizon at all through the widget and the browser.

Tried from my laptop with same info and it worked fine so I know it is the app.

CANNOT uninstall.

Update made it worse and required to update, so that's genius.

Uninstalled update. Restarted my phone. Installed update. Restarted phone. No worky.

A software update is supposed to enhance the features of your device. We want your device to work as it should. The My Verizon application can not be uninstalled off the device. Have you checked if you have the most current version of the application? You'll be able to check for new versions of applications by visiting the My apps section of Google Play. Items that have a new version available will say "Update available." If this is up-to-date, we may need to hard reset the device and test out the application. Here is how: http://bit.ly/WMbz9E . Thanks, but I figured the issue out.

The app updates automatically and I thought it was the update which was causing it, so I UNinstalled the update. But it wouldn't let me log in without it.

I did not want to reset my phone, as you suggested, so I started uninstalling apps that were questionable.

It ended up being another app I installed which was causing the problem.

It was likely the moon phase app but it also could have been the Ulysse Speedometer.

Hope this helps others with the issue.

You might want to add "Try uninstalling some questionable apps" to your support suggestions for problems with the data app.

UPDATE:

As of 2 days ago, I discovered the problem again.

I try to log in with my security code and it says, "please enter a valid phone number"

I do, and nothing happens.

I go to my browser and try. I log in fine but it says, ""We are unable to display account information at this time. Please contact customer service at *611 or visit www.verizonwireless.com/myverizon for the most updated information on your Prepaid account. We apologize for the inconvenience."

So it wasn't apps.

It's the Wi-Fi, somehow. The mobile Verizon App shows a nice updated version in the Play Store (that doesn't work) on Wi-Fi.

On 3G, however, the app works, but it's the older version.

It's a bug with Wi-Fi, Verizon!

I tried doing the Password reset thing that was suggested in the original thread and was labelled as the "Correct Answer."

I reset it through the PC and got a text on my phone. Restarted phone after it didn't work and it didn't help.
