LG Ally Unable to send text messages.

I am unable to send text messages with my phone since this morning (7/15). I tried with the stock droid program and handcent SMS. I tried the stock after un-installing handcent SMS. I tried taking out the battery while on option and all with no luck. I am able to send and receive emails. The phones are 2 weeks 5 days old. Any ideas?

Try to dial *228 + send from your verizon phone.press option 2.

Nope, that didn't work. all massages I try to send still say pending.

I went to the verizon stor for support. According to the tech, advised me to get rid of 3rd party messaging apps. He also recomends to do a factory restore. This sucks cus I liked handcent.

Google needs to be more active as to what apps are allowed to be posted for download.

I have used handcent sms in the past & have never experienced any issues when I used it. Uninstall it and see if the problems go away then.If they don't then chances are it is not handcent sms causing the problem
