I am so annoyed by the Doid upgrade, I am just going to post my message to our account manager. I'll edit the bloody thing later. We are going to see Lady Gaga tonight and this did NOT need to (edit) happen.....
Ok, so I sit here after a Verizon rep told me confidently that all my applications would magically return after hard resetting the phone….WRONG! Simply putting in the gmail credentials do NOT return all your applications. It also nukes the text messages and MMS messages. I have lost part of my life this morning thanks to **bleep** poor support from Verizon and HTC. I am posting one(edit) of a post on the Verizon forums as well as any other Droid forums. I may as well have a (edit) mobile phone that requires complete data eradication and reinstalling EVERYTHING on the phone.
The phone’s sliding function is now a JOKE. I am already seeing complaints about that. The morons who slide the phone into their pockets need to realize that they do NOT turn OFF the phone’s screen before sliding it into their pocket, thus complaints were received to change the phone’s unlock procedure. **bleep**. The phone will no doubt have MORE problems with this new unlock procedure; by focusing on the bar, then pulling it down. SO **bleep**. ALSO you must do the SAME THING for the alarm function! You must completely WAKE UP, put your glasses/contacts in, THEN focus on the screen to see the bar, THEN turn off the alarm. Unacceptable!
So I sit here programming everything back in…which Delores from support said would magically reappear after putting in the gmail credentials…..HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! So ridiculous. This upgrade will no doubt murder sales for the Droid. I have now lost a part of my life that will never be recovered due to the data loss, then about 3 more hours lost for reprogramming in a and downloading all the applications for the **bleep** phone.
Until this is “resolved” no one at AtHoc will be purchasing a Droid. Again, you may as well have a (edit) Mobile phone, what’s the difference? At least with (edit) you KNOW you lost a part of your life with it. It’s expected. With Android and HTC? No unacceptable. Someone really screwed up on this. I hope Santa does not bring them any toys….and remove 3 hours of their life at the same time for it!
Thanks Verizon! Another successfully terribly horrible business decision.
