Trying to find a way to keep unlimited data on ONE of our phones while upgrading the other to a 5S.

Hey there -

Currently my wife has an Iphone 4 with the unlimited data plan.  I have a 4S and since I upgraded to that later than her, I got switched over to the 2GB data plan since I didn't pay attention.

Neither of us are HEAVY users, mostly surfing.  I am in the car a lot however and use Pandora enough that sometimes I approach my 2GB.  My wife never gets near the 2GB.

What we'd LIKE to do is somehow transfer the unlimited plan to my phone number as my wife is not excited about trading numbers with me.  Does anyone know of a way to do this?

If we were able to do that somehow, we'd then like to upgrade her 4 to a 5S but only after we were able to switch the plans around.

Data plans are tied to the phone lines, so no, you can't move her unlimited data plan to your line.  You could switch numbers, but you indicate that's not an option.

If she upgrades her phone by signing a new two-year contract to get a subsidized phone, then she'll lose the unlimited data and be switched to a 2GB data plan like your line.  If you want to keep her unlimited data (at least for now) and upgrade her phone, you'd need to pay full retail price (or get a used phone off ebay or swappa).
