I was on my way to buy a driod today and was told there is no spell checker for email.
does anyone know of an app or when one will be available?

There is the internal keyboard that is kind of like spell check. You start to type the word & it shows a list of words.You just tap the one you want. There is an app called AdvTxt-Spell Chk, QuickText that is 99 cents. Description reads "Text editor that includes spell check and quick text. After editing your text is sent to your clipboard read to be pased into your sms or emails or anywhere else"
Amazing there are a bunch of apps for the Iphone. Google messed up on this one!

There are a bunch of amazing apps in the market too! It's not really google whom makes the apps. It's the developers/real people. You can even make an app & sell it on the market or make it for free.
jack, you have to remember that the iphone has been out for some time. android is only a baby while iphone is a teenager.
and after that cnbc thing on the application process for iphone, i think more developers will move to android for an easier approval system
Even this forum has a spell checker
1. Storm doesn't handle IMAP folders without BIS
2. Driod no spell checker
3. Wouldn't be caught dead with another Windows Mobile phone
When my curve dies i guess it is off to ATT with an Iphone
