I cant seem to find the general feedback subforum so please feel free to move this to a more appropriate area if necessary.
Just wanted to chime in and say that I like the new update so far.
The badge system is interesting although it doesnt seem to go back and give credit for previous posts. I look forward to figuring out and earning the badges as I continue to contribute to the community.
The community leaderboard on the homepage is also pretty nice. Its neat to see how I rank as opposed to seeing the same 3-5 people ranked on the top every day that we will not be able to catch up to. I have seen on the HP forums where they modified thier leaderboards to only show the most active members from that week instead of overall. While this approach does switch up who is in the lead on a more frequent basis, it feels unrewarding if you happen to miss or have a slow week. It also gives a false impression to new users if they happen to see someone who spams to multiple threads and ranks them at the top as the expert of that sub forum. The VZW approach is much better in my opinion.
I also appreciate how they have posted a more clear ranking system. This makes it easier to understand what bronze vs copper or silver means. However, if someone could clarify what exactly constitutes a "point" that would be nice. Not sure right now if certain actions are weighted more heavily than others.
