change in upgrades

So I have a major gripe! i have 2 phones & 1 internet device on my account, and I used my upgrade on my internet device for my phone last time so my phone is now 2 yrs old and ready for an upgrade but evidently verizon doesnt allow upgrades across devices anymore. So I have to wait 1 more yr before the upgrade on my phone comes. So my lovely (non-smart phone) will be 3 freaking years old. What a joke, I was told that they changed the policy 3 months ago, and of course I wasn't eligible for my upgrade then!  FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!!!!!

Since you did not use the voice lines upgrade when you got your last phone, did you alternate that upgrade at a different time as well?
