Samsung S4 Not Charging.

My samsung S4 that is only 6 months old has stopped charging. I have factory reset it, and have cleaned out the lint. The phone gets the grey battery and will charge when turned off. However it seems that the phone will not recognize any charger I used. Whether its the factory one or another one. I have also tried to put it into daydream and safe mode as well has hard reset. What else can i do?

To avoid lousy troubleshooting "help" from Verizon, I would just contact Customer Care (1-800-922-0204) and file a warranty claim through your 1 year warranty to receive a free replacement. I haven't seen or heard of the S 4 having charging issues, so you may have just gotten a bad phone/battery, which happens.

Do you have the most current version of the Android 4.3 OS on the phone? The first Android 4.3 update introduced a bug related to third party chargers not being recognized by the phone. The second update was released to fix the problem.

The latest update that i have was from 12/18/13. It is the 4.3 but I'm not sure which one it is. when i try to manually update the phone it says that i am up to date.
