Is Vzw mobile to a different carrier free? I know that Vzw mobile to mobile is free
There are some old grandfathered plans that had free any mobile to any mobile but all current or new plans do not have it. If you have mobile to mobile with your plan and it's not a very old plan then it is just verizon mobile to verizon mobile.
Thanks, crelin, for your reply.Hello karlee_rachelle, That's a good question! It all depends on the plan you have. Our current Family Share Plan does include unlimited voice http://bit.ly/xdDajD but if you have a grandfather plan you may have unlimited mobile to mobile to Verizon Wireless numbers. Which specific plan do you have? Daisy_VZWPlease follow us on twitter @VZWSupport
I recently changed my plan, not by choice, but because I had to, to get a new phone, but NO ONE, AND I MEAN NO ONE EVER SAID I WOULD LOSE MY MOBILE TO ANY MOBILE. I do not like features that I use on a regular basis being removed with out warning. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE TO ME.
First of all, Verizon has NEVER had free "MOBILE TO ANY MOBILE" with any plan. Verizon's mobile to mobile was only between Verizon phones.
Second, I would be curious as to what plan you have now? If you "had" to switch plans in order to get a discounted phone, I can only assume you are now on the Share Everything plan? If so, most Share Everything plans come with unlimited minutes/text to ANY number in the US, not just mobile. The exception for this is if you have a basic phone and chose to go with the 700 minute plan. That is the only instance where you would not have unlimited calling to ANY number in the US regardless if it is mobile or not.
you are mistaken because I have had mobile to any mobile for more than 3 years, and I am not happy with it being removed with out any warning.
I tried to paste the news release in here where it states that customers that had the plan could keep it, but this site will not allow me to copy and paste I guess. my home address is in Mississippi, and MS is one of the states that this was a standard plan option.. This is certainly not a good way to gain or retain customers. but then my experience so far is that Verizon does not seem to care much about retaining customers.
scormell,
Just a thought if you are on a plan that give 450 minutes then you are likely paying 39.99 (+ unlimited texts for $20) and now sadly paying $25 for mobile to any mobile + a data package = more than $85??? Is that pretty close to accurate for your current plan? If so and your data package is 2GB or less then you might call customer service and ask them to place you on the not so talked about loyalty plan that is Unlimited Talk & Text and 2GB of data for $60..... This is not the prepaid plan nor is it the current $60 single line plan that includes Unlimited Talk & Text and 1GB. It is a different plan that is designed to help with customer retention. Or you can get the share everything plan with 4GB of data for $110 per month that will include Unlimited Talk & Text as well. It is too bad that you no longer have the unlimited data package or the mobile to any mobile on your current plan.

450 minutes = $40, 2 GB data =$30, unlimited texting =$20 total =$90. Not counting taxes and fees
Share Everything unlimited minutes and texting 2 GB =$100 not counting taxes and fees( which are CHEAPER with Share Everything by the way )
So a few dollars more to go from 450 minutes to unlimited is not a bad deal if he needs more than 450 minutes.
We can understand why losing such a feature would be upsetting, scormell. Without seeing the plan you had & the plan you have now, we really can't get into specifics. We would love to take a look at the account if you don't mind. Please reply to the Direct Message I will be sending you. TamaraH_VZWFollow us on Twitter @VZWSupport
TamaraH_VZW. i want to personaly thank you for helping on the matter. it is nice to find there are a couple of people there that still care about helping customers,. it is just a shame that others follow behind you with comments that are greatly less than helpful .
