I am fully aware of Verizon's new upgrade polices where they do not discount a new phone purchase until after 24 months (I guess it used to be 20). However, my situation is a little different. I got my iPhone 4S on 10/02/2011 and signed a new contract. At the time I was on a plan with my husband. When we divorced late last year, I moved from his plan to a plan in just my name on 11/12/2012. At that time, I was told by the Verizon rep that I would have to have a year contract date added (11/12/2014) solely for early cancelation fee purposes but that my upgrade date of 10/02/2014 would stay the same. Which I think makes sense since that was my original contract date on my phone. Well, I just realized that they moved it back to the contract date of 11/12/2014 and I am really upset. I know it is only a month difference but it's just the principle. I called Verizon and they were no help. Has anyone else had this issue or does anyone have any advice for me? I want them to honor my original upgrade date I was quoted since that is the date that I signed a contract on the phone I am currently using.
