Legally terminating contract with Verizon

When we get figured out how to do it, we will drop Verizon. Our lawyer says we signed a 2 year agreement that states Verizon will provide us with the best service there is and our area was excellent for their  wireless connections. Dropped calls is terrible Signal comes and goes. He says we can beat the early termination fees because they are not providing us with 100% satisfaction.

Unfortunately a contract is only as good as its provisions. I highly doubt the qualifier of "Verizon will provide the best service there is" as a legal contract language.

No service provider can guarantee total service to any customer. Too many variables such as weather, buildings, poor cell towers, building materials from inside, terrain, etc. and the list goes on.

If you purchased subsidized phones I would say if you can prove poor coverage and I don't mean in just two or five places gives you grounds to leave without an early termination fee. You should if you can break the contract return the devices. They are no good outside of verizon. Or you should be charged the balance on the devices since your contract was based on paying way less than the normal retail pricing.

Don't get me wrong if you want to leave because of poor signal quality and you have asked verizon to check out your phones, or to replace them under warranty or even have signal testing then you should be able to terminate without any ETF.

But have you and verizon done all this? It would nice if you did.
