Email deletion on phone and on my account. Is it possible

I'm coming over from a Blackberry where when i emailed or deleted someone on my phone the corresponding action would happen on my actual email account. Now when i check emails on my phone when i then go to my account they are on there still as new emails. Can anyone tell me how to delete phone emails and have them delete them off my hotmail or gmail accounts?

Do you have the Motorola or HTC unit? If the HTC unit, I can walk ya through it

Try these steps.

1. Sign into Gmail

2. Click Settings (top right corner)

3. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab

4. In the POP Download section Option 2.

5. The drop down in Option 2 will have the settings that you're looking for.

Go into the email account you want this to occur.

Choose menu

Click More

Click Settings

Pull down the Send and Receive menu

Checkmark, "Delete mail on server: if this is what you want.
