Question about canelling a line

I would like to know the cost to cancel one of my lines. The contract renew date is October of 2014. I turned in both of my iphones a couple of weeks ago to save money and went to a standard phones on both my lines. I have since realized how much I depended on my smartphone. In order to go back to another smartphone on one of the lines I will have to pay full cost for the phone (Verizon doesn't seem to care that I made a mistake). I will probably just switch to AT&T to save about $400 for the cost of the phone.

I don't know what you mean when you say you "turned in" your 2 iPhones? Did you sell them to Verizon, or???

Anyway to cancel one of your lines, if you originally had a smartphone on the line, Would usually trigger the payment of an ETF (early termination fee) which is $350 minus $10 per month for each month you've completed on your 2 year contract. So if your 2 year contact is up on 10/14 then you have completed about 11 or 12 months of your 2 year contact so your ETF would be about $230. (#350 - $120)

Then you can go to AT&T and purchase a subsidized phone and start a new 2 year contract.

If you didn't sell your iPhones you could just reactivate one back on one of your Verizon lines.

In regards to the Early Termination Fee, with Smartphones, the fee starts at $350.00. However, this is a variable amount. For every month that you keep services active, we debit $10.00 from that amount.
