Well, I have no idea why or how my Eris suddenly started doing this, but I think I'm glad it did. Ya know those freakishly loud boot-up noises it makes when you first power on the phone? The ones that there doesn't seem to be any way to change in your settings menu?? Well mine suddenly got quiet! I have no idea why. It used to be that if my wife was asleep or something, I'd put my finger over the speaker when powering on the phone, but now...it's quiet. It still makes all the same sounds, just not blaring loud anymore. I've been all throught the settings menu under sounds and notifications and can't find anything related to it. It just stopped being obnoxious. Creepy...but I'm ok with it.
Musta been that 2.1 update I got a couple weeks ago. 
Yeah...it's still Friday.
