I am a long-time loyal Verizon Wireless customer. I have never even considered switching carriers until now. I have had the Samsung Droid Charge for less than two years and have had so many problems with it. It freezes, turns off for no reason, lags all the time, exits programs without warning,... the list goes on. I have done plenty of research on this phone recently only to find that all the problems I've been having are very common among other Droid Charge owners. I even went to Verizon with the problem and they said "Yea, that phone is known to have a lot of problems. You are not eligible for an upgrade, so there's nothing we can do." If it is KNOWN to have problems, then Verizon should be willing to give the owners of the phone an early upgrade or free phone trade-in. I have not dropped or damaged the phone, it is an manufacturers error... I am highly disappointed with the lack of customer service/support from Verizon. No solutions were offered when I came in with a problem. Not even a friendly smile or apology. I don't know what to do because no one will help me and I can't leave because my contract isn't up until 2015. I can't even find a way to make a formal complaint to Verizon's customer service! I am not asking for much, I would just like a working phone without having to spend $600 on a new one or $200 on an outdated one. Is it too hard to give a loyal customer an upgrade a few months early or a free replacement phone?
