Ringback Tones - FSU Warchant

Hello,

To all Verizon support personnel, I was wondering if Verizon is able to add the Florida State University Warchant to the list of "College Fight Songs" in the Themes and Anthems section of the Media Store?

If that is not possible, is there any way for customers to upload their own x second clip of a song onto Verizon's servers and pay a fee for that music clip? I wouldn't mind paying $1.99 for a song that I could upload from my hard drive (after it get gets scanner for malicious software) and getting that set as my ringback tone.

For those of us with Driods, we should be able to edit music clips to fit the requirements with the free RingDriod app on the Droid Market.

Are any other customers in agreement with me?

You don't have to purchase a sound from Verizon to use it as a ringtone. Just transfer the tone to your device through e-mail or text message, and since you have a Droid and Ringdroid already instealled, use Ringdroid to edit the clip and save it as a ringtone. You could then text/email the editted clip to any of your friends who would like to use it.

There is no way to upload music into ringback tones. Nope can't upload them to Verizon's servers. You could possibly make a suggestion to customer care about adding a song to the ringback tone section.

I'm not sure where "customer care" is? Does that mean a different forum board?

I'm sorry, it's just Jonathan_K from the Forum Suggestion board states in his stickied thread that all suggestions for specific services or features should be suggested on it's own board. This seemed like the right place to me.

I agree. I've created 30 seconds to 1 minutes mp3 files of my favorite tunes I'd like to upload and use as a ringback tones but can't seem to find the means on Verizon's servers. I'd pay the monthy $1.99 fee to have that ability.

You can use your own mp3's and text message them to yourself, or use a third party like phonezoo or myxer to use your own RINGTONES on your phone.

RINGBACK tones (the music a calling party hears instead of the ringing sound before you answer a call) are only available from Verizon servers, and are limited to the choices in the Media store. You can certainly make suggestions for music you would like to have there....but you can't upload your own stuff to use as a ringback.
