UNLIMITED DATA FAMILY PLAN

I have a Verizon Family Plan with 4 lines,2 with unlimited data and 2 with no data.I need to port one of the no data lines(NOT THE PRIMARY NUMBER) to another carrier. This phone number is month to month,no contract.The user of that phone will be moving to an area better served by another carrier.

Will the porting of the one no data line cause Verizon to cancel the unlimited data plan and force the 2 lines into a share data plan?

The 2 unlimited lines use about 30 KB per month.You can see why I do not want to lose the unlimited plan.The line to be ported cost about $15 per month,tax included.So I have the option to keep the line open just to keep the unlimited data plan.

No, you should not be forced to give up your unlimited data with these circumstances. Only when signing a new contract are you forced to do so. You are not signing a new contract, simply terminating one of your lines. You should still have your unlimited data after this change.

I assume you mean the 2 unlimited data plans use about 30 GB/month of data, not 30 KB.

The lines that have the unlimited plans should be able to hold onto the unlimited data as long as they NEVER buy a subsidized phone. And don't be fooled into thinking anything else. Sales people are supposed to get everyone off unlimited plans and will try to switch even if you bring in your own phone. Be careful. Only upgrade in a store. Always double check the plan before accepting anything or signing anything.

The 14 day return and holiday extension only counts on phones, not plans. If they switch you, you can't get back.
