Swapping numbers between lines

I recently received a phone through work and want to cancel my line. The problem I have is my line is still under contract, but my wife's line isn't.

This is what we currently have:

Line 1: My number with unlimited data, still under contract.

Line 2: wife's number with 2gb per month, no contract (month to month)

I would like to be able to swap my number to her line, and her number to my line. I realize I will lose the unlimited data, but don't mind since my wife never even comes close to the 2gig limit. The reason I want to swap the lines and not just cancel my number is because I am going to be porting my number to a new service (google voice). My wife also doesn't want to have to take my number and have her mobile number change (we've had these numbers for many years).

Is this even possible, or am I out of luck? I no longer use my line, since I now have the work phone with unlimited data, but I do use the number which is forwarded to my work phone.

Having a work line sure is a great deal, but we definitely don't want to see you cancel over this. Additionally, to be honest, you can easily switch devices between lines on your account however mobile numbers and contracts are non-transferrable. Regarding disconnecting your line, do you have any use for either a tablet or perhaps a mobile hotspot? We can definitely work on making it one of those products. So, if you like, please accept my follow request, follow back, and direct message me your mobile number and billing password (or last four of your social if a password isn't present) so we can research options.
