DNA Update Release 12/6/13

Ran the update today and the update failed. I was able to get to where a factory reset could be done and all the phone would is boot the HTC screen. Also the the recovery failed. I will try to contact HTC to see if they can recover the device, but VZW is sending out a replacement. I have also now don e the update to my wife's DNA and it was successful. it is now running 4.2.2.

I just tried to update today and the update just keeps failing. I can reboot my device but then it downloads the update again and it fails again. How can I update my phone?

How exciting to be getting an update, Son713! Let's make sure this goes through on your phone. Do you get any error message when attempting to download? How much memory do you have? You can check by going to Settings> Storage If this is a memory issue, you can clear using steps on the following link: http://bit.ly/ZowwgM Once cleared, restart phone and try updating software again. I dont get any errors when ddownloading. I have 1.4GB free. Im not using my

browser to download the update so would my web browser cache still effect

it?

That is definitely concerning to hear! We want to make sure we get this up and running like it should. The cache can absolutely still have an effect. Were you able to try that? What step of the update does this fail during?
