I receive a monthly email notifying me that my bill is ready. It has the dollar amount due. It would be very helpful to include the date it is due also.
I see this type of post all the time.
On your bill it shows your due date. This bill closing date never changes. The bill payment date is around five days before your closing date. In my case my bill closing date say is the fourth of each month. My bill payment date is always around the 29th or 30th of each month. Around five days prior to my closing date.
My invoice is usually available on line around the tenth of each month, so its payable 20 days later. But depending on your bill closing date you must check an old invoice to see when its due.
Good Luck
Thank you for your post. I have other companies send notices, they include both the amount due and due date. I was looking for a place to make this suggestion to Verizon Wireless; hoping they monitor this blog.
They do monitor.
However if you think about it why would they change what has been working for them for years?
In my email notification it tells me the amount due with a web site link to my account. At the account page it tells me my due date. So its done just in a two step process.
While it MAY be convenient to have this info in the email, all you have to do is click on the link to view your bill. Simply look at the due date and then next time you receive the email you will KNOW that the due date is the SAME date of the month it was last time.:smileyhappy:
Coincidentally, I received my monthly notice informing me that my bill was available this morning. It took about 25 seconds to click on the link and see the due date of my bill online, even though I was already aware my due date would be the 10th of the month.:smileyhappy: The email I received DOES remind me that my auto pay amount would be deducted from my CC and credited towards my account on the 7th of the month, which is ALSO the same date every month.:smileyhappy:
