Can I activate an old phone and use it until I get my GS4 back?
You can swap devices online at your My Verizon account. IF you have unlimited data currently and are switching to another 4G device, just make sure after the switch you still keep it after the swap
If switching to a 3G device you mat lose it and if you do you only have 14 days to request it back or it is gone for good.
If the phone is a Smartphone you can take it to the store and have them swap out the esn numbers but just to keep in mind the Reps may ask if you have the Sim Card from your S4 or the Box that the S4 went in so they can get the info off the bar Code.. that should pretty much do it.. This also applies if they happen to have the double-the-data promotion. If they switch to a 3G phone, they WILL lose that feature and cannot get it back.
