$250 so I can use my phones in my house?

I've tried to reason with verizon twice ow about this issue to no avail. Neither mine, my wife's, or my daughter's phone works in our home. Verizon knows it's an issue because they gave my father in law a signal booster for the same reason, in the same location. When I called about it they want to charge me $250 for what they gave my father in law for free. I'm half way through my contract but I figure I can sell the phones and make the early termination fees back to break even. I'm just going to buy unlocked phones and go with a month to month provider.

What happened to the network extender your father-in-law was using at the same location? Is he still using it at a new location? If he doesn't need it or isn't using it, couldn't you add the equipment to your account and hook it up to the landline internet service to use it at your location?

He was only here temporarily and took it with him when he left because he can't use his phone without it either.

The worst part about it is Verizon knows the poor service is an issue. According to them they sent a technician out to this area and apologized to my father in law that the service out here was so poor before giving him the signal extender for free. Now they want to charge me for something they know is an issue. I cannot use my phones in my house. But my brother in law just visited and for some reason AT&T not only works well in my house, it works well in my basement! This really sucks because I just left Sprint for Verizon last year and made a huge investment in new phones and new service. We pay ~$2700 a year. Early termination fee will be $660. Verizon just lost us for life.

Perhaps you should have investigated which carrier works in that location prior to your original switch from Sprint?
