Having to reboot hotspot after kindle shutdown

Everytime I turn the wireless off on my Kindle Fire HD, I have to reboot the hotspot to get connectivity again on the Kindle. But none of my other computers have the same issue. My wife will have connectivity on her computer at the same time my Kindle is "Obtaining IP address...", but it never does until I reboot the hotspot. Any suggestions to eliminating having to reboot the hotspot when I want to use my Kindle for internet activities?

We want you to enjoy the convenience of your mobile hotspot retired_richard! What make and model is the device? Do you power cycle it daily? Is the connection issue only happening with the Kindle? It may be a relationship issue with that particular device. Have you tested the Kindle on a different wireless connection or wifi? We can figure this out!
