eligible for upgrade,need help

I have 2 phones 1 smart phone which is eligible for upgrade with unlimited data, and 1 dumb phone also eligible for upgrade.

The dumb phone is my wifes, and she would like to upgrade to a smartphone, but we would also like to add another smartphone for my son.

If possible I would like to keep my unlimited data.

I'm guessing I can upgrade her phone to a tiered data plan, and also add another smartphone that they can share the data, but I know there is a 2 year contract involved, and since I'm the primary account holder what happens to my phone?.

I'm almost at the point of just sucking it up and going to share everything just to make it more simple.

You can't have 2 lines share data and a 3rd line with unlimited data. If you want any phones to share data, ALL phones must be on the Share Everything plan on the account.

So there is no way to upgrade dumb phone to smartphone and still keep my unlimited data?.

Yes, you can upgrade the basic phone to a smartphone and add a tiered (2GB for $30) data plan to the line. If you add a third smartphone to the plan, it also would require a tiered data plan, in addition to the line fee. Neither of those actions would impact your unlimited data plan since each phone line has its own contract. But you mentioned the two new smartphones "sharing the data" ... in order to do that, as mentioned earlier, you'd have to switch your entire account to a Share Everything plan, including your line.
