No Signal

I recently moved to a new area and can not get a signal with verizon. Verizon came out to my area and found it was a marginal signal area. They want me to pay 250.00 for a booster to get a signal. Why should the customer pay for this? Verizon claims to have coverage everywhere.

They have coverage in most places, but I highly they have coverage "everywhere". Buildings can interfere with the signal. That's why they have a network extender. It is a one time purchase and connects to your landline Internet access.

The customer shouldn't have to pay any fee, doesn't matter if it's one time or not. I as the customer pay for their service, so if I'm paying for service they should make sure I have it. If they had good customer service they would do the respectable thing any good business would do and provide the extender. They may loose the customer and the monthly payment (which of course is more) not just the "one time fee".
