Upgrade and Get No Service???

So I went to the Verizon Wireless store near me today since my phone is acting up and I'm due for an upgrade. I went in and the sales representitive told me I could upgrade today but they were having issues. I asked what they were and he told me that if I upgraded neither my old or new phone would work since they don't know what the problem is and they don't know when it will be fixed. If my current phone works now, what is preventing an upgrade from working??? I live near the store in zipcode 16066 if anyone knows that area or has had the same issue.

Sounds like they are having network issues meanning they may not be able to get your new phone activated. You might should of waited to upgrade. If you have upgraded you might just have to wait till they get the problem resolved.

I decided to wait because if something happens then I have no phone to use. My college is nowhere near any stores so I'll be stuck for a while with a half functioning phone.

If the store was having system issues, or network issues in the area, the attempt to upgrade may not have processed correctly and could have left you without a working phone.

I upgraded my note 3 and had the same issue. I got a iPhone and don't have that issue anymore. I miss the battery life!
