After filling out survey, I immediately got a call about bill discount.(Phishing?)

I got an email from verizonwireless@surveynetwork.com that asked several questions about my new GS4 phone. I never filled out any forms online about receiving my new phone so I am assuming the survey was legit. Immediately after I completed the survey I received a call from (800-888-9595) with a recorded message to visit vzw355.com to receive a free discount of an entire bill. When visiting the site I get an alert (Chrome browser) that this is a reported phishing website. Is there a known issue with this process, and was the survey from a legit partner? Any feedback or details would greatly be appreciated.

The email address doesn't look familiar, but the website format does. There have been several "discount" websites discussed on this community over the past few weeks and they have all been scams.

As Ann154 said, all these reported in the past have been scams. The only discount Verizon offers is a corporate one and you have to approach Verizon to receive it, not the other way around. Without knowing what kind of info you provided, I think as long as you don't visit that site you'll be fine.

Can anyone confirm if the email/domain I received for the survey is legit. I got the "spam" call 15 mins after I completed it.

I can't confirm it myself, however email addresses are extremely easy to fake so even if it came from an actual verizon wireless email address - that does not mean it came from verizon wireless.

I received a call from 1800-922-0402 claiming a verizon bill discount of $60. I went straight to the internet to verify. I do believe this is a scam.

Did you speak with a live representative when your received the call or was it a recording?

I just received the same email and am wondering the same thing. All web searches questioning whether the site is a scam came up negative so far (scamvoid, scamadvisor, snopes).

I too just received an inquiry from this email address about why I returned a phone. I believe this is a scam, can you confirm? The email address is: Verizon Wireless <verizonwireless@surveynetwork.com>;
