I signed up for my phone so long ago that I don't even remember an employer discount being part of the plan. I no longer work for the company I worked for then so I am sure I am no longer eligible. I am on some crazy old plan that doesn't even exist anymore that has required me to stay on basic phones. Since my bill is going up anyway, will Verizon allow me to start a new plan and upgrade the two phones on my plan without charging me a termination fee for the old contract? Basically, can I upgrade both of my phones to smart phones and get a new two year contract for a plan with data as if I had reached my upgrade date for both phones? The way I see it, Verizon benefits by getting me onto a more expensive plan.
