Poor signal

I'm looking to switch to verizon from sprint because I get a poor cell signal at my house. The only problem is my family who is already with verizon gets just as bad of a signal as I do. Sprint had given me an Airave for free which helps when it works. I know verizon has their own network extender but I don't see why I should have to pay $250 for something sprint gave me for free?

I'm just curious - if Sprint and Verizon both have a weak signal, and you currently have Sprint with an extender that works, why are you considering moving to Verizon where you have to pay for an extender?

If the rest of your family is on Verizon, it may be worth it to them to invest in the Verizon extender. Verizon does not routinely give them away though.

My problem with Sprint is that my airave will work fine one day but stops the next day, this happens all the time, I've spent hours on the phone with customer service and still can't get it to stay working. I would like to switch to Verizon but I don't want to have to pay $250 for something that I feel is going to give me the same problems.

Then don't - I still don't get why you would even consider switching if you expect the same problem... "better the devil you know than the devil you don't" - seems to be appropriate in this situation.
