Me and my wife received calls from 1-866-866-7509 saying to log in to our verizon account and receive 45.00. I checked the number, and it goes back to sprint wireless. Anyone else receive a call like this?
There are several other threads and posts about this.
It's just a scam trying to get your account information.
Thanks. It's really strange as both of us received calls, a day apart.
I got the same call this morning
I received two calls this AM from 800-272-7249, requesting that I go to www.vzw361.com to be awarded my $361. Is that the same fraudulent website that you were requested to go to?
I got a missed call from 800-600-6358 at 7:15 am then got another call from the same number at 7:35 am. I got the same info as You. $361 & www.vzw361.com
SUGGESTION: BLOCK the number
Contact Customer Care at 800-922-0204 and report the call. They are just wanting to obtain your information which can be a big pain for you in the end. Report it, Get the number blocked and you shouldn't have to deal with it anymore.
Hope this helps,
Ryan

Received same call from 800 922 0204. Was suprised because Verizon doesn't offer you anything. When my contact is up I am never going to go with Verizon for anything. A loyal customer from the beginning.
My husband and I both got 2 calls 10AM and 6 PM from 800 922 0204 for $45.00 off my next bill. How come I didn't get $361? Anyway we didn't go to the website but the seems to be a valid Verizon number.
I talked to a Verizon rep. today because I got the same call and the number was a Verizon number they were calling from but it is not Verizon. The scammers are cloning the Verizon numbers. DO NOT SIGN INTO TO ANY WEB SITE OR GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. Verizon is aware and working on fixing the problem.
I AM SOOOOO FRUSTRATED RIGHT NOW! I too received a telephone call/voice message indicating that I was eligible to receive $45.00 yesterday afternoon. After spending over an hour attempting to verify this information via Verizon's online assistance, my "operator" disconnected our conversation while I was off trying to log in to my account as she directed me to do! I am angry that I had to jump through hoops only to be disconnected. My initial inquiry about whether or not this was a legitimate offer was never even addressed or answered by the Verizon Representative, Erica. The log-in process was NOT taking the proper information regarding User Information (my cell number) or my actual passwords. So, I continued to click on the link requesting to reset my password. I went through this process 3 times only to be directed to this conversation....still no actual response from a REAL Verizon rep addressing this! This is the epitome of extremely poor customer service. The number that called me yesterday is: 866-381-5530.
Thanks for the heads up MRaf. I would like to inform you that this is not a valid promotion or offer provided by Verizon Wireless. We recommend that you do not visit the website or provide any account information via a phone call or website. We have also forward this for further investigation. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Thank You,MichelleL_VZWVZW SupportFollow us on Twitter @VZWSUPPORT
Reminds me of the call I got from a 600070000000 weird phone number. The caller said I'm getting $75 credit on my account, however it's currently suspended so I needed to log in through a different website. Lol! I hung up!
I reported the call to Verizon already. Well, I found out that several others have received the call, too. I pulled up complaints posted at http://www.callercenter.com/600070000000.html and I'm wondering if Verizon can stop this fraudulent activity.
yes. the same thing happened. Is this a scam
I'm glad you chose not to go to the website, mcingy. Although 800-922-0204 is the number to Verizon Wireless Customer Service, it is an inbound number only and should not appear on your caller ID from any valid Verizon Wireless call. Unfortunately, these individuals fraudulantly claiming to be Verizon Wireless are also using a program to change their caller ID. To view any true promotions available for your account, please only log into the original www.vzw.com. Thank youJenniferH_VZW Please follow us on Twitter @vzwsupport
