Not Impressed Anymore

I've had Verizon for almost 8 years now - and I've never had a lack of cellular service as I do now - even when I had an old flip phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4, which I got because I was hoping the better the phone, the more likely that it would work. I pay as much as I do for a phone as I do for my car insurance and I cant even send a text message in my own home or be alerted that I got a phone call because it goes straight to voicemail. I even went to use my navigation in my phone and I couldn't get service to at least find the address for at least a half hour. My contract ends in April and I'm finally to the point where I'm seriously contemplating whether or not to switch my cell phone provider :smileysad:

I totally agree.

I think you should do it. I have been a customer for almost 5 years & there is no leniency. With all these other phone companies changing their plans to fit the economy. Verizon just wont budge on giving any loyalty discounts & better service plans. They have created a monopoly. Like Comcast but at least Comcast changes their specials from time to time.

Yes they have great service I give them that. But you have to sell your legs, arms, kidneys.. & maybe your trusted dog just to keep up with the payments. Absolutely absurd.

I have been experiencing the SAME problem since November. I am so very upset. I used to RAVE over Verizon and their service. I'm currently in communication with them to discover what has suddenly changed with Verizon. I think it's trouble with the towers. Nonetheless, with quality phones as ours (mine is an iPhone 4s), there should be no trouble all of a sudden. I had PERFECT reception for calls, texts, and internet use until November....than BAM, woke up one day with it not working any longer! Prayerfully, we'll get our problems resolved, quickly!

So did I! I used to absolutely love them now I can't wait till my contract is up! I totally agree with you - you would think since we have the latest phones that there would be no problems, specially with the price of them these days! Hopefully it gets resolved soon though, if not I'll have no choice but to switch providers

I've got about 2 months left on my contract and then we are gone. I've never had such spotty service as I have had this past year.

Im thinkin about takin tmobile up on that.. ETF deal.. they will pay up to $300 for your phone depends on the model & condition.. then they will pay up to $350 for your cancellation fee. I was just at the store yesterday.. & got alot of info.
