I preordered the Note 3, and picked priority overnight shipping, it cost me $14.99. First of all, when I preordered my S4 I got overnight as well, I ended up receiving the phone earlier than most customers, and I got it before I go into work. That being said, this year Verizon shipped my Note 3 FedEx 2 Day despite that I paid and expected a phone with Priority overnight delivery by 10:30am. The Rep's I've spoken to all say different things, we'll start with Rep 1 etc:
1. Claimed she would call FedEx because this is a FedEx error or warehouse error. Says she fixed the issue. Then when I asked she said FedEx would show service updated within 1 hour. It didn't after more than 4 hours of waiting I call again.
2. Claimed that I was being a unreasonable, inpatient, and was expecting more than "ships by 10/10". Says she will refund my $14.99 and then I'll just have to get the phone on Thursday. I told her that I paid extra for priority overnight for a reason, and that this didn't happen with my S4 preorder, or my HTC One order. She then told me I'd get refunded DESPITE me telling her not to several times. I then call VZW again.
3. I went straight to cancel service option since I was frustrated. Rep tells me it shows Priority Overnight in order confirmation at VZW's site. I told her to check the FedEx tracking number. She told me that she'd have to create a ticket to the warehouse then they hey fix this.
I'll provide screenshots soon.
If I don't get the Note 3 here Wednesday by 10:30am, like I paid for, then I will cancel ALL 6 lines. When I was with AT&T I never had this type of trouble.
Shoot AT&T offered me upgrades all the time. I gave up my AT&T unlimited data grandfathered, for Verizon. I have repeatedly paid full retail price for my phones at Verizon.
If this is how loyal customers, who pay on time, more money spent than with their old carrier (AT&T) then I guess I'll be switching.
It's bad enough Verizon is always last to get phones. HTC One took over 4 months to get to Verizon. Note 3 took a week extra, despite that VZW is the largest carrier in the US. Verizon is more expensive. Should I even mention that Verizon stupidly locks the bootloader on Android phones? Not even T-Mobile does that. If I pay $599 or $699 for my phone, you better bet I want a unlocked bootloader
I'm really ticked off right now.
