Do not have a question, just a comment to Verizon. I upgraded my phone with renewed contract in May when the Galaxy S4 came out. I lost my unlimited data plan with this upgrade. I didn't like this but that was the way it was. I accepted it and took 2GB ($30) with plan to upgrade if I needed to. In the three months since I have went over one time. My wife just upgraded her phone and contract last month with an Iphone 5S. She was given 6 GB at the old unlimited price ($30). Verizon's new policy. I went to my local store and talked with the store mamager and he told me he would see what he could do. He went and checked and came back and said the system would not allow him to change my plan to the 6GB. He said I should call verizon support and explain this to them and he was sure they would change me to the 6GB. That is what I did; after a long "discussion" with a representive telling me that I would have to live with it as there was nothing to be done because the 6GB was put into effect after my upgrade. I then talked to his supervisor who asked that I allow him to look into this and he would call me back with an answer the next day by noon. Well here it is two weeks later and still no call back. Think I was patient enough. I went to my local store again last night and again was told to contact verizon support and he was sure they would upgrade my plan to the same as my wife. I have not called yet but will went I get home tonight. I have no hope that they will do the right thing.
We have had three lines with verizon for 10 years with the unlimited since 2008. My wife uses less than 1GB a month 90% of the time and she has 6GB at the same price as unlimited, while I average 2-4GB and given 2GB at the old price. This does not make sense especially within the same household and spouses. Does verizon not think this would cause problems for them (verizon)? Why would a company (verizon) not upgrade longtime unlimited customers who had very recently had to upgrade and lose their unlimited to the 6GB as a customer loyality measure. Especially in the same household????
My wife and I have already decided to seriously seek other options after this contract if this is the way verizon is going to treat loyal customers. We have done nothing but sing verizon praises to friends and family for years for their coverage and service but now it seems the almight dollar is their main concern; not customers. My son is also on our bill and still has his unlimited and he will be seeking other options when his contract comes up. We would rather stay with verizon but they are not making that possible.
