A Critical vtext number no longer gets to my phone

An online lead company has been sending me text notifications via #######@vtext.com for over a year until Tuesday when they are no longer getting working. Nothing is blocked on my account or phone.  I can send myself a vtext for that number and it comes through.  I have gone to the company and tried everything we could think of in order for it to work.  The message is also being sent to my co-workers AT&T phone and that text is getting through.  Also, the company's own people are on Verizon Wireless and the texts come through.  It is a vital part of business and would appreciate any support that you could offer.

Hi ProLL!  Let's ensure you can receive text messages from this online lead company again!  First, I'll need to ask you a few clarifying questions.



Have you saved this company's number in your contacts (the number that sends you the texts)?  If so, there may be an issue with the way the number is saved in your device.  Our network processes text messages through a server that only supports 10 digit numbers.  If you have 7 digit numbers programmed into your device contacts, our network will not process the message delivery.  The same applies for receiving messages.  The Messages App on the device will "Cache" the 7 digit number in the memory, and will not update the memory even if the contact is modified.  For this reason, the entire SMS thread with that number must be deleted before updating the contact list on your device.



To resolve this, delete all of the SMS threads for the phone numbers impacted.  Delete the message conversation threads by swiping left or right over the conversation and tapping "Delete".  Then edit the contact in the address book to reflect 10 digits only (Ex: 123-456-7890).  Have the online lead company retest the text message.  Let me know how this works out for you.  Thanks!
