I recently purchased a Droid Eris on our business plan here at work, only to find out that it may not be supported by our tech group... and that I will not be able to connect with our corporate exchange system because it is not secure.... They say that there is no way to "WIPE" the phone if it gets stolen or lost, and that it would be a security risk... Is this true that there is no way to issue a command to clear/wipe the phone of data stored on the phone ?? I know that you can do this with the blackberry, but I really would like to be able to keep my Eris.
Is this something that is handled in the new Droid OS update ?
